I grew up in Charles County Maryland and the “ Popes Creek” subdivision ran there . I remember as a kid in the early 1970’s seeing Pennsylvania and Penn Central locomotives and equipment.. then in the 1980’s the blue Conrail engines .. the equipment I saw were the last newest ones pulling coal cars to the Morgantown power plant. The last set I seen was in December of 1990. After that was CSX I escaped Maryland in 1993 and now n North Carolina is all Norfolk Southern Morehead port line outside of New Bern Nc. The mainline tracks are behind my house and property.. Trains run daily and sometimes shake my house!

Modular model railroading has come a long ways since the ntrak days, when all it took to move individual modules were the individuals themselves with the family station wagon, today you need a football size stadium warehouse for storage space and a fleet of 18 wheelers just to get the railroad there, oh, and a crew of 20 men and a boy to get it set up! 😂😂😂

Glad to see our layout alive and well. Sadly, Greenburg shows we will only be 24x24. Unfortunately, I couldn't make this show. But hopefully, we will be at the August show. I plan on bringing my new Lionel Legacy C&O passenger train and Lionel Vision Line UP Baldwin centipedes to run then.

And congratulations to Russell and Stacy for their "Star Quality!" Not everyone has that you know! And what an incredible way of preserving that 1804 mansion! Obviously it's not part of the TCA empire but it was a thrill to see it just the same! Thanks for bringing us along Shawn!

the thing I found about modeling in Z scale is that when you work on larger scales, they aren't that much of a challenge, you develop "z eyes". For a small scale though, you start craving wider curves rather than trying to squeeze as much as you can into a small space..

Fantastic video Shawn! I love this layout. Reminds me a lot of Roadside America. It’s a shame no one bought that display, but I am glad someone bought this one.

So many of these gems are works of art, not just utilitarian vehicles. The Mack B series were the sexiest trucks ever built.
